Join us in celebrating our 2nd birthday this year at Crathorne Hall Hotel on Friday 27th July.

Over the last 2 years, our Service has grown from strength to strength, providing Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Services to not only children, young people and adults privately, but also offering talking therapy, group work and teaching sessions to Primary and Secondary Schools in Tees Valley, Durham and wider areas.

This year will be hosting our Annual Sunflower Cognitive Therapies Charity Ball to celebrate a second year in business on the 27th July at Crathorne Hall Hotel.  All proceeds from the evening will be going to support two charities local charities, Teesside Samaritans and JPC Community Farm.

The first charity I will be raising money for on the evening is for Teesside Samaritan’s, with whom this year will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary.  Sunflower Cognitive Therapies provides talking therapies to children, young people and adults who are struggling with a range of mental health disorders.

Given the rise in young people and adults who are in desperate need of accessing mental health services I feel that by raising money for the Samaritan’s this is a perfect opportunity to be able to promote the fantastic emotional support that the Samaritan’s currently offer to people in and around the Tees Valley area.  For further information on Teesside Samaritan’s and how you can become involved in helping them continue supporting people within the Tees Valley area click here.

As a Brand Ambassador for JPC Community Farm, half of the proceeds from the evening with be go towards paying for a hydrotherapy pool, one of the many wonderful features planned to be built for residents who will be living on the Community Farm.

The Farm which resides on the outskirts of Stokesley in Busby is currently in the process of being adapted into a 15 bedded supported living facility for young adults with additional needs.  With plans to develop the farm into an interactive setting to engage residents with a community lifestyle adapted to meet their individual needs and enhance their quality of life.  For further information on JPC Community Farm and the amazing work they have planned click here.

The Ball…

The evening will commence at 7pm with reception drinks, followed by a 2 course meal.  With entertainment on the evening provided by Marina Gears and Jamie Tinkler.  I am hopeful that if it is anything like last year it should be once again a lovely evening.  With a chance to raise money for two local charities and some fantastic raffle prizes to be won.  It is the perfect opportunity to celebrate any special birthdays or mark special occasions with a partner or a group of friends.  Tickets are £35 per person.

It has been an exciting time and most importantly I have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful people, see them grow, working together to achieve their therapy goals.

With lot’s of new opportunities on the horizon, there is no better way to celebrate our achievements than to host a Charity Ball to show our gratitude to all the people we have worked with so far, this is our way of saying thank you!
