{"id":597,"date":"2017-10-09T11:43:48","date_gmt":"2017-10-09T11:43:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sunflowercognitivetherapies.co.uk\/?p=597"},"modified":"2021-05-13T14:30:09","modified_gmt":"2021-05-13T14:30:09","slug":"wishing-the-months-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunflowercognitivetherapies.co.uk\/?p=597","title":{"rendered":"Wishing the months away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Strolling around the local supermarket the last Sunday in September\u2026<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fI find myself watching bewildered as staff are busy at work, stocking shelves whilst helping customers with their shopping.\u202f Why is it, every couple of months, when people are finally familiarised with where to find the items they need, the store changes its layout?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">It just seems utterly crazy; like they want to keep everyone on their toes, in suspense of what might be found in the next aisle.\u202f In reality, as a mum of two young boys, personally I find these \u2018surprised\u2019 situations to be very stressful.\u202f Inevitably, often I return home missing key essentials from my list replaced with things \u2018we just don\u2019t need\u2019 and frankly it is absolute chaos!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Yes, Autumn\u2019s arrived however this weekend it has felt like a weekend in mid-July.\u202f Saturday spent at a Motorsports\u202fevent seeing children run around, making the most of the sun, laughing and having fun and today, I\u2019m wearing a t-shirt and sandals! \u202fHowever, the staff are preparing the aisles to promote different events coming up over the autumn and winter months why does everything have to always be so confusing??<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Aisle 2 displays a range of\u202f<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u2018Back to School\u2019<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fend of stock sale\u2026 It feels like two minutes ago that my boys went back to school, where has the last month gone!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Aisle 5<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202f\u2018Happy Halloween\u2019,<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fthe assistants are fighting with fake cobwebs, trying to hang them off the top shelf, though each time they have managed to do it, they fall back down. \u202fLooking at the row of \u2018trick or treats\u2019 placed alongside the various Halloween costumes I find my mind racing trying to remember what we did last year for Halloween. \u202f\u2018Oh yes, that was it, we got the pumpkins too early, carved them and they went soft!\u2019<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Note to self:<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Do not get the pumpkins early this year!<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">As I get to the end of the isle there are leaflets promoting \u2018<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Guy Fawkes, Bonfire Night\u2019<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fand the range of fireworks that will be on sale.\u202f This leaves me thinking about what we may do as a family to celebrate Bonfire night.\u202f Last year the local display was on too late for Harry and because of this while I stayed at home, dad took Tom to watch the display.\u202f This year, again, it falls on a Sunday night\u2026 the night before school!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">What do we do?
